Sarah Turner

Sarah is an award winning eco artist and designer, making beautiful lighting and works of art from waste plastic bottles. After graduating in furniture and product design from Nottingham Trent University in 2008, designing and making products from waste materials she became obsessed with collecting and creatively reusing waste plastic bottles.

All the bottles are collected from cafés and households to be reincarnated into a new life. They are cleaned and sandblasted to turn the plastic from transparent to opaque and then dyed gorgeous, vibrant colours which caught the attention of artenax. With some intricate, highly skilled cutting and sculpting they are completely transformed into stunning products, almost impossible to tell what they originated from.

Sarah thrives on the challange of creating something beautiful from waste materials. Her designs prove that…’Just because a product is made from rubbish, doesnt meant it needs to look like it does!’ Sarah’s eco lights have been exhibited at prestigious shows in London, Milan, Paris, LA and locally in Nottingham where she is based.
