Glassblowing is a glassforming technique that involves inflating molten glass into a bubble (or parison) with the aid of a blowpipe (or blow tube). The two major methods of glassblowing are free-blowing and mold-blowing.
Fused glass works on the principle of building up layers of colour and fused in the kiln at high temperatures. By varying temperatures and timings, different textures can be created within a piece. Other materials can be included such as metals as copper sheets or wire. Techniques of working with glass enamel powders enable the glass designer to achieve an even more diverse range of work.
