Bridget Arnold

Bridget was born and lives in Devon, her passion for nature and the place that she lives comes from that connection.  Walking on Dartmoor, or along the seashore collecting plants, seaweed and feathers is the inspiration for much of her work. 

Her shades are made from sun printing, an old technique called Cyanotype which is a form of primitive photography pioneered by Botanist Anna Atkins in the 1840s.

Functional and creative, her designs are made into original lampshades with a view to bringing the outside in. They add real drama and richness to a room and we can have any of these designs made in 20cm, 30cm, or 40cm diameter. They come with a strong blue background, with the design printed in either white, green, or rust. We stock a range of handmade wooden lamp bases that suit them well.
