Gary Long
Artist
Gary studied at the Birmingham and Manchester School of Art respectively, then spent many years as an illustrator working for international clients in advertising and publishing both in the UK and North America.
Over the past 25 years his paintings have been exhibited in galleries in the UK, US and Canada and today his work is held in many private collections worldwide. He was also commissioned to paint six paintings for the Cruise Liner Queen Mary II.
He has featured as a painter on BBC’s Country-file showcasing Barbara Hepworth, Patrick Heron and Kurt Jackson. Gary is a part time tutor at the University College Falmouth, St Ives School of Painting and the Verrocchio Art Centre in Tuscany.
He is listed in the Who’s Who in Art and a member of the Society of Illustrators in New York.
