Jenny Moon

Jenny Moon creates embroidered collage pictures that are made up entirely of fabric and stitch. Contrary to what people think, no paint is involved.  The colour and texture come from a variety of translucent materials such as ‘chiffon’ nylon or very fine cotton or silk.  The fabrics are overlaid and their colours combine.  They are held in place by stitch and there is more use of stitch in the foreground to give the sense of depth.   

The subject matter of Jenny’s embroidered collage pictures are landscapes, sea or waterscapes. Jenny loves the colours and shapes of lands, water forms and the forms of trees in different seasons.
