Katie Almond

Katie is a designer-maker based in Rutland who produces beautiful porcelain products inspired by old paper ephemera, vintage textiles and afternoon tea. Each piece is hand-painted and essentially a canvas for decoration, demonstrating Katie’s passion for drawing and colour. This ensures every piece is quirky, unique and evokes a sense of nostalgia.

Katie was the Artist in Residence after achieving a first class BA (Hons) in Design, at De Montfort University, Leicester, and a distinction from Stamford College for a Diploma Foundation in Art and Design.

She has exhibited widely across the UK since graduating in 2009, as well as in Germany and the USA, has won a number of prestigious awards, and is a member of the Society of Designer Craftsmen.
