With an emphasis on colour, the homeware store sources products from all over the UK, endeavouring to find the very best. artenax sells a wide range of interesting and unusual items, including investment pieces, ceramics, textiles, rugs, throws, kitchen accessories, furniture and hand-blown glassware, but they have become especially known for their lamps. Many of these lamps have bases made from hand-turned oak, walnut or spalted beech and come alongside a large selection of originally designed and hand-painted lampshades.
The judges were particularly impressed by the passion behind artenax’s purchasing, which ensures customers have access to some of the most enchanting items on the market. The collection includes work from more than 200 designers and artists that owner Nikki Greenleaf has developed solid relationships with, meaning customers don’t just have the opportunity to buy their work, but are able to purchase it for a fantastic price. Nikki and her staff advise customers on colour combinations to complement their existing décor and enhance their interiors and are continually searching for new, creative artists and designers to replenish their stock.
